The shape of this tool from Robert Sorby enables it to cut safely with the wings (the tips of the side walls) well back from the workpiece. This 1-1/4" size gouge is especially good for hogging down extra-large projects. Has a 14" ash handle with an overall length of about 21". Not for use on bowl projects. England
