The TNT-808 Woodturner's Kit from Tormek organizes and contains everything you need to shape and sharpen all your turning tools on your Tormek Sharpening System, including: the TNT-300 Woodturner's Instruction Box; TTS-100 Turning Tool Setter; MH-380 Machine Cover; LA-120 Profiled Honing Wheel; SVD-186 R Gouge Jig; SVS-50 Multi Jig; and SVD-110 Tool Rest.
The Kit comes in the TC-800 Tormek Case (with the included TNT-00 Storage Tray) keeps your jigs and accessories organized, and is easy to carry thanks to the premium leather handle. The case is made of high-quality materials with a clear, slide-able lid that keeps everything in place. It is also stack-able for easy storage and is compatible with the recently introduced HTK-00, TNT-00 and T8-00 storage trays.
The fitted TNT-00 Storage Tray inside the case stores all the jigs included with the Woodturner's Kit. It is made of EPP, a permanent construction material that is durable and ready for many years of keeping jigs in their places. The Tormek Way of Sharpening
The Tormek way of sharpening differs from other grinding methods like high-speed bench grinders and belt sanders. Tormek makes a clear distinction between shaping and sharpening. Once the tool is shaped to the right shape, you remove only a minimal amount of steel when sharpening – you just touch up the edge. An important benefit of the minimal steel removal is that the sharpening is fast, in addition, your precious tools will last much longer. Newly sharpened turning gouges and skews can create the most delicate details and leave the cleanest cuts possible with little or no need for sanding.
